Of the estimated 40,000MT of fresh ginger produced annually in Nigeria, 90% is exported as dried Ginger to meet high demands globally. Ginger locally sourced in Nigeria has been in high demand due to its uniqueness, known for its aroma, high oil and oleoresin content and pungency.  Nigeria is known as the third highest exporter of Ginger.
